We are proud to be an Independent and Non-Profit school. We will be seeking licensing and accreditation through the Department of Early Learning, and in elementary school, the NWAIS, The Friends Council on Education and the OSPI.

We are a Quaker School, joining the ranks of the oldest and most progressive schools in the U.S. and abroad today.

We are interdisciplinary and rigorous. We believe that small skills and knowledge need to connect to big ideas so that students understand why learning is powerful.

We offer Dual-Language Learning in Mandarin and Spanish in our Early Childhood Program for the 2018-2019 school year. All students pick up substantial oracy (listening and speaking) in the 3rd language.

We will open in the Bellevue Area of Seattle in the Fall of 2018 with classes for Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Kindergarten aged children. Every year we will grow a grade up until the 5th grade.

School doors open at 7:45am with all children in attendance by 8:30am. The school day ends at 3:30pm and after-school care is available until 5:30pm. The program is based on full daily attendance so that students get the most out of their time with us.

We firmly believe that children learn best when they have the opportunity to encounter different spaces and teachers. Throughout the day, students move between different studios, workshops and classrooms while negotiating and encountering other students, teachers and spaces.

We will adopt a Balanced Year Calendar because we take learning seriously. We feel that this maximizes student learning, growth and creativity.  A new page will be available on this shortly.

We firmly believe that there is an urgent call to action to educate children about the world, including its diverse peoples, religions, geography, social, and political systems. We call this global competency and  it begins with 3 year olds.

We Firmly believe that children deserve to learn about their world in deeply relevant ways.
